Used Nissan GT-R R35: strengths, variants and inspection points

AUTO BILD describes the R35 as a sophisticated all-wheel-drive supercar with a transaxle dual-clutch gearbox and 485–600 PS depending on year. For used cars, it favours original examples and treats idle rattling and possible output-bearing or clutch-basket concerns as inspection prompts. These are not universal defects. Record year, documented specification and known changes. A heavily tuned listing is not a direct price comparison for a largely standard R35. Request service and repair records, together with details of who carried out modifications. Unclear calibration or gearbox information needs resolving before a defensible cost assessment. A Nissan North America bulletin dated 6 July 2021 describes R21A4 for certain 2021-model-year GT-Rs, requiring replacement of both front steering knuckles. It calls for vehicle-specific eligibility checks. The bulletin establishes neither that every R35 is affected nor the status of a German-market vehicle.
